Monday, July 23rd, Two thousand & Twelve

We spent the morning on Saturday at our local farmers market. It is really fun because we always run into friends there. We discovered fingerling potatoes and had them with dinner that night, they are so delicious rich and creamy. |Toledo,Ohio

The extreme heat and lack of rain this summer has dried our lawn until it resembles the pale crisp of straw, but this weekend I noticed chicory flowers blooming all across the lawn in the mornings, somehow still thriving despite the heat |Kansas City, MO
