Monday, April First, Two Thousand & Thirteen

Easter morning we decided to skip church and dye Easter eggs. We had reflected all week on what Jesus had done and still is doing for us.. Later that afternoon we gathered at my sisters house and shared food with my family. It was such a beautiful day when we came home we relaxed outback and let the boys play in the yard. |Toledo,OH

Saturday night we began our Easter celebration with a Passover Seder, a symbolic meal (usually celebrated on Holy Thursday) with different foods representing different pieces of the Exodus story, remembering how God brought the Hebrews out of slavery in Egypt. For us, as believers in Jesus, each of these elements also reminds us of our own exodus out of the slavery and into the freedom of new life in Christ. |Kansas City, MO
